Ready to set up your first budget and overwhelmed where to start? We’ve got you covered. Below is a list of common budgeting expenses categorized. These are the ones we use for our own personal monthly budget. I like this order of categories even, but mix it up so that it works best for you.
If you’re doing a budget for the first time, give yourself grace. It will take a few months to get into the rhythm and find what realistic numbers to plug into your budget. Reviewing the past one to three months of spending can help you figure out a good average as well.
