Ready to get started on the first step of your financial journey? Here’s a checklist of documents to send prior to your budgeting session to get the most out of your consultation.
PDF statements are preferred, but screenshots are also accepted. Please consider blacking out your personal information (address, account number, etc.) in order to help protect your privacy when sending financial documents through the internet.
Income
- Paystubs for any W-2 or standard 1099 contractor work under a contract
- One month if your income is salaried
- Two to three months if your income is variable
- The two most recent statements for all bank accounts
- Checking
- Savings
Debts
- The three most recent statements for all credit cards, store cards, etc.
- The most recent statement for your car loan(s)
- Details of your mortgage (current balance, term, interest rate, maturity date)
- The most recent statement for your student loans (current balance, interest rate) broken down by individual loan
- The most recent statement for HELOCs and other personal loans (including interest rate and total balances)
Retirement
- List of all retirement accounts (IRAs, 401(K)s, brokerage accounts, etc.) including
- Current balance
- Current auto-drafted contributions (if any)
- Current match percentage (if any)
- Type (Traditional, Roth, etc.)
Budget
- A copy of your current budget, if you have one
