Who is this budgeting help for?
I’ll be honest right up front – not everyone needs a consultation. And as the frugal budget lady, I’m not about to tell you to sign up for something that isn’t going to benefit you – that’s a waste of your money and time.
Our goal at The Budget Brigade is to get you to financial freedom the best way possible. So if you’re new here, make sure you check out our resources page and our articles first. We’ve tried to make them as easy as possible to find by category. You can also join our budgeting and personal finances Facebook community.
When you book budgeting help with me, whether it’s for personal budgeting or your small business, be prepared to come either with a goal/vision or a willingness to make one. Visit our FIRE ladder page to learn more about this critical first rung on your way to FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early).
You also need a can-do attitude to chase after your goal(s). As we pledge on our about page, if you are looking for someone to swoop in with a quick and easy fix to all your problems, we’re not comfortable taking your money. We require sweat equity and a dedication to stick with your plan in order to see the results you want.
I love to help people who realize their own potential and are willing to fight for it. I am here as an extra resource to help guide you when you’re stuck. If you’ve reviewed our free resources but need more specialized help to your unique situation, or are overwhelmed and simply don’t know where to begin, then consultation is a perfect fit for you and I would love to help you along your journey to freedom FIRE
What to expect for your budgeting consultation
Ahead of your budgeting consultation, you’ll receive a checklist of all the documents to send prior to our scheduled meeting time. These documents will include things like paystubs, bank and credit card statements, and a list of current debts and retirement savings.
I will send you a virtual meeting link for the arranged date and time prior to your scheduled session.
During the budgeting consultation, I’ll ask a little bit about who you are and what your financial and personal goals are so we know how best to align your budget to achieve them. Then we’ll dive in to get a picture of where you’re coming from and where you’re at now to build your budget going forward.
Expect your budgeting consultation to last around ninety-minutes to two hours. You’ll have plenty of time to ask specific questions.
You will NOT be pitched any books, products, or expensive courses. The goal of this meeting is not an opportunity for me to make more money off of you, it’s to get you to save money!
How much does budgeting help cost?
The budgeting consultation will cost $250 USD, payable at the time of securing an appointment time. While we understand this might put a pinch on this month’s budget, it could save you thousands along the rest of your financial journey. We’re biased, but we think it’s worth the cost if you meet the criteria outlined above.
CANCELLATION/NO SHOW FEE: You time is important. So is mine. Cancellations made within a week of the consultation until twenty-four hours prior will be assessed a 25% cancellation fee. Twenty-four hours notice or less and no shows (no arrival within the first fifteen minutes of the scheduled start time) will forfeit all payment.
